• Can I transfer applications (itunes-ipod) without syncing?

I couldn't download an application on my iPod Touch so I downloaded it on itunes, then I remembered why I [b]never[/b] do that. I just need to transfer this one application but I can't unless I "sync applications" which apparently replaces all existing applications on my iPod with ones in the library, I don't regularly back up the applications so I don't want to do this. Is there any way to transfer this one application?
First of all, right click your device and choose "Transfer Purchases". When it´s done you should be able to sync withouts problems.

No he doesn't want to sync because all of the apps should be removed. With my solution he CAN sync without all of the apps getting removed. [editline]09:50AM[/editline] Tried it myself.

What the other guy posted completely defeats the point.[/QUOTE] As I understand it, syncing will replace all of the apps on his iPod with the ones in the library, thus losing the ones that are on his iPod, but not in his library. "Transfer Purchases" transfers all downloaded apps to the library, I believe, after which you can sync. However, I find it strange that all apps would be removed from his iPod, because when I sync, all apps that I downloaded on my iPod, not via iTunes, remain on the iPod.
once you sync your ipod you won't lose your applications... it will just copy the ones on your ipod to your computer simple
just transfer purchaces, sync and all your shit is saved
