Splitting an usb signal for use on two PCs contemporaneously
8 replies, posted
Hello, I've got a graphics tablet and I need to link it to two PCs contemporaneously, and be able to draw on both at the same time.
For this I'd need a device that takes one usb cable in and outputs at least two usb cables to link to the pc. Do they exist? If yes, can you please post a link?
Thanks.

Bump, do you know anything?
How/why would this work?
Not from if it works, but how would you use it? I don't see it being very productive.
You *may* be able to get fancy with synergy if your particular tablet is considered a pointing device.
Instead of streaming the tablet, why not stream a feed / screen capture of the first computer onto the second?

Can't you just draw on one and then copy the image over?
And thanks for teaching me a new word.
Couldn't you think of a more concise synonym for contemporaneously?
Isn't this the wrong forum?

I'm wondering why our language needs both "contemporaneously" and "simultaneously".
Well, I'd also need to do this with a midi pad, other than with the tablet, so I'd need a way to copy the midi signal aswell.
Again why?
If we knew why we could probably suggest a better alternative.
