What are the differences between X and Y?
What are the differences between X and Y?
Version exclusive pokemon like always. There's also version specific mega evolution stones, Mewtwo and Charizard have different mega evolutions based on which game you're playing.

To say I am stupidly excited for this would be an understatement
everything about this game looks absolutely fantastic, except the french setting. i may be a "purist" or whatever but the most interesting game maps have always come out of japan. while it certainly doesn't look like it's going to be as bad as the new york city setting, i would much prefer rural japan over france. [editline]5th October 2013[/editline] that being said when the game comes out i could be completely wrong and france could be the best setting ever

this game makes me really want a 3DS
Visible EVs? Holy shit. All the reviews are really making this sound like the best Pokemon game ever. I wasn't even hyped a week ago, but I'm quickly getting there. My number one question is how early in the game I am able to obtain a Porygon and if Porygon-Z mega-evolves, because Porygon is the only Pokemon that matters in my life.

I like how there's a huge variety of Pokémon to choose from in these games. Such a nice change from BW where only new Pokémon were available and most of them were ugly. A lot of the new Pokémon are terrific, too.

They're only represented with a vague graph so you're left without exact values.
do you think it'd be worth getting X or Y if you don't play or flat out dislike the multiplayer? By MP I mean the traditional "my pokemans vs your pokemans". I mean it looks good but at the same time, without the MP one could say Pokemon is just a simplified JRPG. But then again 3DS games are inexpensive and I blow more money on worthless games I didn't want on Steam sales. I am conflicted. No amount of apologetics well get me to like the MP btw.
I can understand Mewtwo, but Charizard?
charizard is pretty damn popular too
I don't really mind if there aren't that many new Pokémon. The last time I fully played a game was Gen II, so there are still loads from previous generations I haven't seen.

It seems that they are trying to make the metagame more accessible so you don't need to learn so many tricks like EVs or breeding for the perfect pokemon.

You still have to breed for IVs. You still have to catch, EV train, and build the moveset of each and everyone of them. And after all the grinding and bike riding to get all of this set up you still might end up with a garbage team or get wrecked by someone's Smogon-approved team. If you want to do competitive battling you're always better off with a simulator.
