• Corrupted video file..

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I figured I might aswell give it a try. I stream videogames on Livestream. I set my procaster to record videos to my computer while I'm streaming, but during one of my streams, my computer crashed and I can't open the recording. I assume it's corrupted. It's an MPG-4 file. Is there any efficient way to fix it? I looked around, tried some software but nothing seemed to work. It's a really important file for me, so if anyone can offer some insight, I would be very thankful.
Anyone at all? :saddowns:
Im very sorry...but its impossible to save the file because when your computer crashed, the video file was unable to finished properly which means its like a sending a tire off from a tire factory to be placed on a car even though half the tire is missing. You can not save it.
I disagree, it probably just didn't record some ending data or the length or something, it's probably recoverable. Have you tried it in VLC?
How big is the file?
I tried in VLC. Tried in Sony Vegas. Tried Premiere Pro. Tried some shabby recovery software.. It's about 250MB. (Stream was like an hour long)
I guess I might aswell give up hope?
