What's a Phoenix? Isn't that the pink and white armour from Mass Effect 1?

I checked the wiki, the only thing I could find on a phoenix is chickens..... so apperently the next dlc will allow us to be chickens in multiplayer.......

Plus, it brings three more weapons, with some equipment and consumables.
Don't quarians already have engineers ?

Phoenix probably means Protheans, what with the whole "From Ashes" thing.

Doubt it. Bioware wouldn't fuck up the lore so much with [sp]Javik being the last of the protheans.[/sp] Even for multiplayer.

This is going to sound a little callous but, after what happened with the ending, I'm starting to think lore is less of a priority than we would hope it is.
I'm okay with this if this is free like the first MP DLC.

Not really. The idea that a stasis pod in a bomb shelter survived the Reaper onslaught is hardly unreasonable. Starchild is lore-fucking; Javik is merely unlikely, though possible.
Never even knew the first one had come out. I really need to pay more attention. Haven't played mass effect in ages though.

Yeah I agree they fucked up. But at least they're trying to repair some of the damage with the DLC this summer.

Yeah, here's hoping. I'm not expecting it to do the job, but Bioware has a hell of an opportunity here. If they're smart, they won't squander it.
Actually, it was revealed back during the initial DLC leak that they would include Protheans as playable characters for multiplayer. They reveled the Geth and Protheans, along with the "Revised" ending DLC.
I never understood about the whole stasis thing how they pods lost power, why couldn't they just use a renewable energy source like solar to last forever?

I hope we get to play as a male Quarian. Some of the male Quarians have pretty badass armor. The only race we truly need, however, is volus.

Ok, but please consider this: volus are short and dont move very fast, that would imply that in multiplayer that they would be easy to hit making gold challanges as volus impossible: also Elcor cannot use guns and a melee only unit would be alot harder to play as they are also very large thus making them easy targets also making gold challanges, impossible/really hard

volus is a reference to biotic god and also elcor are described as being tank-like in combat with weapons mounted on their backs

Many of the stasis facilities were sabotaged. Not to mention that the Prothean Empire was so large it took the reapers longer than expected to leave.

This. Some Protheans became indoctrinated and screwed the others over by sabotaging the stasis pods.

Oh good, because I know when I think Mass Effect I think Multiplayer! that's what everyone wants right? that's why Skyrim is a team class based multiplayer shooter right?
