Do I need THe Orange Box To Get The Improved Graphics?

I know this is a little late and I should already own the Orange Box. I know there are improved graphics in ep2 so what I'm asking is do I need to buy the orange box in order for these graphical improvments to apply to all of my games or have they already been updated without the need to purchase the orange box?

I was reading a thread about the new Jailbreak release and I've heard it's been ported to the orange box engine so will I still get the benefits of this engine even though I don't own the orange box or will I still be running the old HL2 engine?

I'm not entirely sure, what do they say you need on their website?
I'd just try it out.
