While reading up on computer history because of you saying IBM invented CPU architecture, I discovered that IBM greatly increased the efficiency of the Holocaust because they were the sole supplier of computers to the Third Reich :(

x86 was used as a general purpose instruction set before IBM went and standardized it on their computers.
