It's not on Steam, I wouldn't expect a TF2 promo.
Why is it not on Steam? There'll be plenty of people who won't buy it just because of that.

I honestly don't understand the logic behind the decision. People on Twitter are bombarding them with "No steam, no buy" and they're just replying with "We're sorry to hear that".

It's not like Final Fantasy VII was all that hard in the first place until the end/postgame, as long as you grinded a bit and kept your attention towards any secrets or such that you could get.
I'm pretty excited, I'll be picking it up for sure. I have it on my PS3, but it'll be nice to have some hopefully updated visuals, and the ability to edit your characters is pretty nice. I had a program for the original PC version that let you do it. I never tried to abuse it, but I'd poke around it when I got stuck or just to see what the weapons looked like. It was so nice being young.

Have they fixed the lower quality music the original pc version had?

Well, then as long as they don't use MIDIs I'll be okay. The audio on the playstation version was so much better.

Except unlike Battlefield 3 there is actual evidence that at one point they considered putting FF7 on Steam.
How much do Square and Sony work together? Steam and Sony have a thing, so if Square is deeply entwined with Sony, it is likely there will be steam.

I'm pretty sure Sony and Square don't work together as much as people think, they have after all released games on non-Sony products for ages.
