OK well basically I am formatting a 73Gig hard drive in my new dell poweredge 2650 server. It has 2 2.8ghz Xeon processors. How long should it take to format the hard drive??? I have been waiting for about 30 minutes to an hour and it is still formatting. It doesnt tell me what percent it is at either. It just said it is formatting and to : !!! Please Wait !!!
Oh and if i merely uplugged the server, what would happen to the hard drive? would it become unusable?
