hello I was thinking about buying this computer http://www.walmart.com/ip/Acer-EL1352G-41w/15686810 and I was wondering if this was good enough to at least run Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0, Counter strike 1.6, Counter Strike Source, and of course Gmod! I know it does not have the best graphics card, but I can just replace the graphics card if it cant run these games. And I was wondering if any of you can help me find a better computer than this? (If there are any lol) My price range is $250-$300. thanks (:
If you're just looking for an average home computer, I'd say that's fine.

It will.
Second opinion: You'll want a new graphics card right away, but the rest will do for what you want. My old 6600 used to struggle a bit when I first started Gmod.

Thats one of those "slim" computers, if you're limited to buying a prebuilt don't get a slim one. It will severely limit the upgrade capabilities. Try to find something that is a mid size tower so you can properly upgrade the GPU and PSU when needed.

The PSU probably is proprietary, though...
i cant find one thats in my price range :/ ($250-$300)
To be honest if you buy a $300 computer you're not going to be happy with it for very long. If you added an extra $200 to your budget you can get something relatively decent.
buy a mac
Do macs even exist at that price range?
Do macs even exist at that price range?
Could probably pick up a old power pc one but it would probably be worse than what he is running.
That computer might work, though the video chip is weak. According to that page, it does have a PCI-E x16 slot, which allows you to upgrade it. I have no idea if it has a low profile or normal PCI slots, though this card includes both: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134121 Doesn't look like it will take a considerable amount of power, so the PSU should be fine.
It will be worth it in the long run to save a little longer and increase your budget a bit. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] Even 50 dollars will go a long way at this price range.
