So this is finally actually happening. Took them a while.
I doubt it'll be anything amazing, but hopefully it'll be fun. I won't know, I don't play card games like this.

Man, it's been like two years since Bethesda sued them. That's the last time I heard anything about Scrolls.
When I read "creepy man" I was expecting Notch.
Nothing really impressive popping out at me. Just another trading card game.
wtf new skyrim looks lame as fuck -_- no fusrodah boooring
Hearthstone will kill this
Why is this significant?

Notch did it

I thought Notch hasn't done anything for Scrolls

True, I actually thought he had dropped the whole thing due to having never heard from it again.
why does it look like an iOS game?
Did the music remind anyone else of the Sons of Liberty theme song? 0:24 I noticed it and it sort of stayed with it
Of all the resources Mojang has, this is the result. Fine if its a side project or labor of love... but this is not what I would put as a a top tier game coming from the best of my company if you know what I mean.
Looks boring as hell.
Mojang always said that they never thought they'd top the success of Minecraft. They're still an indie dev studio (albeit with a higher budget) - they're making games they want to make.
Not as if they need Scrolls to be a success for them to continue or anything. Minecraft still rakes in cash.

mojang is not anywhere close to a top tier studio though and it really shows here

People will find ways to complain about everything Mojang does, whether it deserves it or not really
They could make the classic game of our generation (and some might argue they have with Minecraft, I wouldn't personally go that far but they did make the most iconic sandbox game ever) and a greater than average amount of people would bitch
Scrolls isn't going to become a classic but I think if anyone else made it, it would be receiving a much warmer reception than it currently is
For the real Scrolls experience, replay that video muted.

I agree, but it's also a part of Notch being totally thrown out of his depth with Minecraft. He had a great idea, and executed it very well relatively speaking, but he never had the technological skill or knowledge to pull it off properly on a programming level. And now he's playing catch-up to actually get better at the stuff people expect him to be some sort of master in, which he really isn't.
Sorry Notch, but this looks shit.

nah minecraft was executed really objectively poorly
It probably is an iOS game. Right?
Nope. "Scrolls will be available on PC and Mac soon" according to their site.
