I think the real news here is that millions use WhatsApp
I think the real news here is that millions use WhatsApp
It's super popular in areas that aren't North America or Europe, despite competing "messaging over data" services like Apple's iMessage or Google's Hangouts.
uhh I think the problem should be with the exploitable vcard handler instead of whatsapp but ok
I think the real news here is that millions use WhatsApp
Quite a lot of people I know that play MMOs use it to communicate with raid teams or whatever. It's much simpler than Skype. Google hangouts just isn't that great.

hangouts or mumble. i don't like ts :v:
hangouts or mumble. i don't like ts :v:
TS is far superior. Mumble is ass. Though better than it used to be I'll admit.
Jesus why. That sounds awful. Why not use something that's meant for that like TS?
We obvious use TS when we are actually playing or at home. It's for when we aren't home, discussing random strats in the day or something, when you can't devote your full attention to it, or just saying you will be late or whatever.
TS is far superior. Mumble is ass. Though better than it used to be I'll admit.
mumble is perfect for small groups
mumble is perfect for small groups
I dunno, I personally don't see any benefit of mumble over TS.
It's super popular in areas that aren't North America or Europe, despite competing "messaging over data" services like Apple's iMessage or Google's Hangouts.
Over here its so popular its the kind of shit even your grandparents have installed, and is actively used by every single person you know. And the same goes for Germany, Belgium, and probably like another 15 European countries.
You don't have to pay for servers with more then 32 users on mumble.
There is something called Non-Profit License. Doesn't cost money and gives you up to 512 users and 2 virtual servers (so 1024 per hardware). On topic. I really don't like whatsapp, I know quite a few people here use it but I like LINE a lot more.

And when we finally had one they changed the license a year in and then without warning banned all clients from connecting to the IP our server was on because there was a donate button on our website, and apparently that was not in line with being an non-profit organization. And then they wouldn't revoke the ban unless we bought a license, even though all we wanted was going to back 32 slot unlicensed. Also 90% of the time you go through with the requesting of an Non-Profit License, you'll be met with an "Sorry we're not accepting lisence requests right now, check back later" screen. Like NPL is a thing but they actively try to avoid giving you one.
I have never had an issue with applying for th TS NPL. They only open the site during their working hours for some reason though so you can't do it at night or holidays or whatever.
