I already own every Serious Sam other than the indie games and I bought this.
(Everything gives an extra copy)

p.s. buy it.
So what was the verdict with Serious Sam 3? Buy or no?

Well all Serious Sam games are fairly similar in gameplay and writing, so if you liked the others you'll like this one.

My favourite game of 2011.
So what was the verdict with Serious Sam 3? Buy or no?
It starts fairly slowly, but once it picks up it becomes more like the classic Sam games. While I don't think it's better than the first or second encounters it's certainly better than SS2.
Got gifted Serious Sam 2, I hope it isn't as terrible as I remember it.
Just buy the complete pack if you dont own any of them. Its one hell of a deal.
Serious Sam 2 was the only one I was missing, got it for £2.38!
Shit why did my PayPal have to fuck up right at this time?
There is no god.
Serious Sam 2 and Serious Sam 3 are mine!
Bah, kind of annoyed I didn't wait to buy SS3.. Would of saved £10. :<

It's great past the first four or so levels (kinda like The First Encounter).

uh then don't buy a game when it's new, it's inevitably going to be on sale eventually, especially with Steam.

Excellent, but not as excellent as the First and Second Encounters. There's some forced humor that's bleh (but not as bad as 2) and the color palette is really lacking, but the core gameplay remains as great as ever.
and the color palette is really lacking
There's beautiful Vivid color option in video settings for fixing this.
And I happen to have $5 left over in my steam wallet from when I bought skyrim. Now I have something to do over the weekend.
i'll wait for Serious Sam 2: The HD Edition
you know it's coming.
holy shit i forgot serious sam 2 even existed

Serious Sam 2 is already HD...
IM USING CAPS LOCK TO EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT.

Not quite but it has aged decently.
Buying SS3. This is amazing deal.
Looks like I'll go with deluxe edition to have some nostalgia with classics.

The point I'm trying to make is that; I bought it only a few days before it went on sale.
Oh yeah, I played like 10seconds of SS2. Bleh...
Shit, bad time for me to be totally broke.

Terrible humor aside, I'd say it's still just as fun as any other Serious Sam game.

SS2 is a lot better when you hit the ESC key as soon as a cutscene start. You may not understand what's going on in the levels, but it's a lot better than going through the unfunny cutscenes.
