So my ancient old CRT TV has finally given up the ghost, so I've been looking at moving into the modern era and getting a fancy new flat screen telly. However, since I've never really had to look for TVs, I've honestly not a foggy what I'm looking for. Other than I think that 40" is about as big as the room we've got for it can comfortably fit, and that HDR would be a nice plus, I've very little idea what actually goes when looking for a TV.
I have been looking at the Samsung UE40KU6400, which for the price, looks like it's got a solid feature set, and would be an appreciable upgrade over what we've got. Also it looks like it'd come with stuff that seems that would keep it relatively future-proof for the time to come.
So things that I'd value as recommendations would be no bigger than 40", HDR, and maybe as little of the "Smart TV" integration stuff as possible. If any of you lot have an ideas on what would be good/resources to look at for TV reviews stuff, then that'd be highly appreciated!
Thanks!
apart from the cheap pricing and HDR theirs minimal benefit to 4k unless you have a very large screen and/or sit extremely close, i wouldnt buy 4k over a cheaper 1080p tv unless you also want to use it as a monitor
