• New PC build displays nothing on monitor

I received the parts for my new computer build today but, surprise surprise, with everything assembled there is a problem. Whenever I boot the computer will run for a few seconds, shuts down and then boot again without fail. However nothing is displayed on the monitor during either boot sequence. The motherboard speaker emits no beeps what-so-ever during this process. I have tried: Checking all the connections are secure Trying the monitor with another computer Unplugging/replugging the GPU Unplugging RAM one by one and re-plugging it one by one Changing what socket the RAM sticks are in. Using the motherboard's on-board memory test All to no avail, my build is as follows: Case: HAF 932 HDD: F3 Spinpoint 1TB CPU: i5-2500k Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 GPU: GTX 570 PSU: Corsair GS600 CD/DVD Drive 8GB DDR3 RAM This is the first build I've ever done so I probably ended up doing something wrong, I just can't figure out what. Any ideas as to what the issue could be?
4/8 Pin connector on the mobo?
4/8 Pin connector on the mobo?
The standoffs are all in their correct positions and I'm not sure what you're asking with the second question.
Perhaps the GPU is broken? Tried plugging the monitor into the motherboard instead? Check if the GPU fans starts spinning and whatnot.
Perhaps the GPU is broken? Tried plugging the monitor into the motherboard instead? I just tried plugging my current PC's GPU into the new PC to no avail.
Does your CPU have power? It's a common mistake to miss the power connectors on the motherboard because they are normally hidden by the cpu heat-sink.
Reseat the CPU and RAM.

There's one just to the top-left of my CPU which is plugged in. [editline]1st September 2011[/editline] Well, I just discovered that one of my RAM sticks was DOA. Removing it stopped the double booting problem but I'm still not getting any VGA signal to my monitor when I boot the computer up. [editline]1st September 2011[/editline] I've got it. For some reason it only displays the Bios on HDMI out, neither of the DVI ports allow me to see anything past bootup. Hopefully that's just a quirk of the GPU and it will let me use the DVI ports once I have the drivers installed.
