Budget: £800-900 ($1300-1500)
Definite requirements:
- 2 monitors
- ability to run games on high graphics setting (Such as CoD, BF4)
- able to render and multitask without melting on me
- compact. I don't have too much room and don't want a ton of wires going everywhere.
Basically, I have been getting by on a Macbook Pro 13" 2010, but I am looking to get an upgrade and get into PC Gaming. I'm not sure what I need to do to find a PC that suits my requirements, but I've been told that it is cheaper and more beneficial to create a custom PC rather than buy an overpriced brand such as Alienware. Personally I'm not sure what is wrong with Alienware, but hey. That's why I'm here :D
To cut a long story short, I don't want to spend thousands of pounds on something, I need it to be compact, and I want relatively good performance. Not godlike, but I want to be able to play on decent setting without fps jumps or lag.
Thank you.

What's wrong with alienware is you are literally paying thousands (that number is not even hyperbole) just so they build it instead of you.
Do you need an Operating system, keyboard, or mouse?
If so, what would you like in regards to those?
Once again Flayne beats me.

I went for an extra 8gigs of ram and a higher PSU for leeway but flayne's is probably better than mine. (as usual)

That's quite a bit over budget and a bit unnecessary in quite a few places.

I figured since he wanted ot render while multitasking that 16 gigs would be good. also the budget was 900euro max I figured :P
Oh well. Yours is better anyways..

900 pounds maximum (where that build is 1000 pounds).
I have a mouse. However i do not have a keyboard...
What kind of keyboard would you like? It could cost anywhere from $10 to $150+.
for 30$ http://www.logitech.com/product/keyboard-k360
the k360 is a really good keyboard, its' wireless but I've not changed the battery since I got it almost a year ago
being that it doesn't need a recharge, like, at all, and will likely be replaced by the time you run out, the wirelessness is a huge huge bonus
you can buy it at radioshack, too
I dont see the use of a wireless keyboard if its a desktop computer

More visually appealing, less clutter, easier to move around. There are advantages to wireless keyboards even for an immobile PC, especially when you consider the fact that you might eventually have to move the desktop anyway (moving for example).

that and, it's not like the wirelessness has any disadvantages at all, especially if you have a mouse that uses the unifying USB (the receiver can use up to 6 different things). After all, one cord to deal with.
it's one of their cheaper keyboards too
The k360 is smaller than MOST keyboards without sacrificing the feeling of solid keys or feeling cramped. If you get a game pad, set it aside when you don't need it, easy peasy.
