Alright, what's the deal with this card? No reviews/ratings for any of them on Newegg. [url]http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Radeon+HD+5770&x=0&y=0[/url] What's the deal with this card? Is it better than the Radeon HD 4870? Why is it just about the same price as the 4870 or the 4890?? Basically wondering, what is up with this card. :|

When did they announce the 5770?

It tops the 4870 by a little, but those are on beta drivers so..

I just read somewhere that it is supposed to be released Oct. 13? I am confused. :/ -and sorry, I'm wondering because I would rather grab one of these if it is better than the 4870 that I was going to get. Especially since it is just about the same price.

Haha, I'm really curious as to how this car compares to the 4890, and whether there are any free games bundled with it. If any of those statements are true, it practically kills the 4k series :< So, Ati releases 5870, Nvidia pushes Physx Ati releases 5850, Nvidia pushes Physx even harder by forcing geforce graphics rendering Ati releases 5770, Nvidia releases GT 220, 210 See a trend?

Far Cry 2 makes your HD5770 go insane, but it performs like an HD4850 in all the other games. Probably a memory bandwidth issue, judging from what Anandtech is saying.

Enough with the terrible Far Cry 2 jokes. This thread is about the 5770. Should I go with the 5770 and hope that as the drivers get better, so will the performance, or should I simply go with the 4870 that I was going to get in the first place?
