When did your Rosewill PSU die? (If you've had one)

My Rosewill served me a hearty 29 months before dying last week.

How long did yours last, and what kind of problems came up when it met it's demise?

Isn't that kind of an average length of time for a PSU to survive? 2 years doesn't sound bad.

no, Rosewill PSU's aren't that good. I have dells that lived longer then 5 years.

just don't get the cheapest turd, and don't push it with the hardware.

Oh wow, the only PSU I've ever had that died was a Rosewill. It died spectacularly, with plenty of sparks and flames, before I unplugged it. It wasn't in constant use, so I can't put a number of months on it.

the one I put in one of my dad's business computers for a contract of his blew after about 16 months of use, taking out the 5x 1TB RAID 1 array that contained a few months of security camera footage... taught me to never use them again, now all that goes into his computers are Corsair 400Ws.

I was going to buy one but I spent 30 dollars more on a Cooler Master 650w that's lasted 4 years now without any problems.

Ironically, I have a Dell Dimension 4600, that's infamous for failing PSUs ([URL]http://www.pcworld.com/article/129857/the_10_worst_pcs_of_all_time.html[/URL])
and It's been running almost 24/7 for 7 years without a problem

My uber old PC from 1996 is still running flawlessly. :smug:

My 1989 Packard Bell still runs, though the fans are very loud due to 2 decades of dust buildup.

I've got an 8 year old one that still works great. Rosewill is pretty awesome, just their really low-end PSUs can be a bit hit and miss sometimes.

Compaq Deskpro from 1998 has a perfectly good PSU. Its only 200W though.

We have an old prebuilt at home (from 2002 i think), it has a shitty no-name 350W PSU and it still works.
