I've got an old Dell Latitude laptop. It has no wireless card, a PIII cpu, and 128mb of ram. I want to surf the web on it in my room. I have a wireless access point and another router. Is there some way to configure the second router to get internet from the one connected to the internet? I am using my parents computer at the moment and am in desperate need of my own computer[other was taken]. I know it sounds a bit dumb but I am getting quite desperate as you can see. Thanks for your input in advance.
run an CAT 5 cable to the laptop as long as it has a connection for it
or a CAT 6.

From my secondary router to my laptop? Or from my router that is connected to the internet? This has to be discreet so my parents don't get wise to my shennanigans.

I am grounded at the moment, but my parents forgot to take my PoS laptop. The laptop doesn't have a wireless card in it though so i need some other way to get internet on it without running a cable.

Mabye you should read the OP again. I need to get internet on my laptop in my room. I CANNOT run a cable. There is no built in wireless in the laptop. I have another router that is just lying around. My question was if i could some how use my other router to pick up my wireless signal on my main router to get internet on my laptop.

if you're whining about not having a wifi adapter that goes in the PCMCIA slot and not getting wifi, just stop talking
Yes, you can. You need DD-WRT custom firmware though. Or a netgear. Brand of router please?

This. Very handy firmware.
Buy one of those Usb wireles things. They are like flash drives but they are nearly the same thing with a wireless just portable. OR get a connect card so you can have a mobile connection.

Last time I checked, the DLinks weren't compatible with it. Now if it were the Linksys...
Build a wireless bridge using the two routers.

I have a wireless router from around 2003, mayby 2004 and it supports it.
