I doubt they're planning on releasing pools as DLC. They've done things like this before. Sims 3 didn't launch with diving boards or waterslides, which everyone bitched about and said they'd sell as DLC, and they added them later for free in a patch. Same with basement tools and hot tubs.

But no, it's EA and Maxis, they're too evil...
