Half a Binocular... The good half.
Oh boy it has a sense of humour as well! Take my money.
It looks really satisfying to kill enemies.
Wow, I wasn't really interested in this at first, but i'm getting hyped as fuck now.
Man those death animations are awesome.

I love how people always point this out, if you said that in a crowd of people you'd get some funny looks. :v:
At first I thought they were just overhyping it, remember the "Fine dinner" comparison?
But now it's really looking promising.
Seems like some pretty straight forward RPG features with good shooting mechanics and vehicle combat.

That over-confident steak comment actually killed my hype for a bit.
I like his crossbow thing. Nice throwback to a certain other wasteland roamer who loved a good multifunctional crossbow.

I seem to be in the same situation. I wasn't very excited for this game initially. Now it's joined my must have of 2011.
Looks entertaining. But in that video the npcs don't really look that hard to fight.
I definitely want to get this game now.

So? Neither are Doom's, and, in my eyes, nobody can seriously say that Doom wasn't a great game. Especially not you since you have a doomguy avatar.
Really reminds me of Strangers Wrath and Borderlands. (hadn't seen the post referencing the crossbow)
Loved the "feel" at 4:12 as well.
Looks entertaining. But in that video the npcs don't really look that hard to fight.
With most of these promotional demos, they've usually got it set up specifically for that, with dumber AI and the player's abilities boosted significantly. Its not a good showing when half way in to your demonstration, a guy with a rocket launcher or shotgun blows you apart and you have to sit and watch a loading screen while the guy respawns.
I like how it seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from Borderlands, especially the parts that made it good, like a large variety of weapons and emphasis on fighting in vehicles.
Enough with the borderlands shit. Rage has been in development since before borderlands was.

I think iD has the rights to make such comparisions.
I think this is the first diary-type video I have seen that doesn't have EXTREME ZOOMINS WITH REALLY FUCKING COOL COLOR PALETTE
Enough with the borderlands shit. Rage has been in development since before borderlands was.
They were revealed the same year, and no need to get worked up, people are just comparing two games that DO look and seemingly play similar.
Sorry, it just annoys me when people call Rage a ripoff of BL when they aren't educated on the two.

Really?...
Borderlands was disappointing to say the least.

I thought it was awesome excluding the repetitive replaying

There seems to be a massive split, some love the robot, others hate its guts :v:
Reminds me of Bioshock's gameplay.
the guns look weak as fuck especially the shotgun.
It looks really... Straightforward. Not many friendlies, just some shopkeepers and tons of people to kill. That's about all you ever see in videos of the game, just you shooting people. Nothing of the story is shown, it's headshots, shotguns, machineguns, and that boomerang thing.
With that out of the way, the enemies look pretty great. I love how there's many that are easy to kill, and then there are others like that dude that comes out of the gate and he's covered in metal plates. The main character unloads a burst of bullets into him and he doesn't even flinch. That totally set the mood for me that that guy was gonna be a tough fight. He wasn't just one of those people that soak up a ton of bullets and then die, it actually seemed like you'd have to be creative to kill him.
