this game is a hot piece of garbage. obvious cash grab with little time spent on it.
It's such a shame this turned out bad™
If you want a Platinum character action game with a female protagonist you might as well just get Bayonetta 2.
Wasn't this supposed to be really good? Or was the hype for it overblown?
This game is really hard, god damn...

There literally wasnt any hype, like the entire marketing was one ... IGN? video.
This game isn't as bad as everyone's making it out to be. The gameplay is great and the visuals are fine. It lacks in story and the pacing is weird as fuck. But I enjoyed it for $15.
It plays a LOT like Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Counters set you up for big attacks and you can pull off some neat combos. The last boss is a lot like the final boss of MGRR as well. But seriously don't take all the reviews so seriously. It's a fun game.
Wait it's already out ?
Wow, I thought it was going to take like another year to be released.
I don't really see why people are saying this game sucks, it's pretty alright. The story only took me around 2-3 hours, but it's fairly challenging and you're supposed to play these kinds of games several times over to get good at them. You can do some pretty cool combos, and like Murdoco pointed out it plays similarly to MGR. As someone who loves MGR, I enjoyed it.
Pretty good, actually. I expected more story content, but as it's a filler game that takes place in a small time-frame between two seasons, it works. It's what you'd expect from a Platinum character action game, but I'm having as much fun with this (about half way through) as I did MGR; though the enemy variety up until now has been much inferior to MGR.
I'm not sure if it's intended, but it feels like the game was designed for fans of the series exclusively for a few hours of fun. It doesn't feel at all serious, and I didn't see it marketed or advertised anywhere. It has also been surprisingly challenging; the concept of playing on extreme is daunting as hell to me.
Animation and genera combat system are platinum through the roof quality (when compared to other games) but graphically they could have done better, as the game has the potential to look beautiful. Worth the £12 I'd say, judging from the 4 hours I've already put in. Also contains some fanfare/references to the show and ATLA, which really does make me think this was aimed specifically at fans of the show and nobody else.

bayonetta 2 is only for nintendopeopledudes though
I've never really played a fighting game before, but I jumped into this because I love Korra and I was pleasantly surprised.
I was under the impression I was going to replay through the first season, but its got its own little story. Worth my 15 bucks imo.
