I know there's something that's supposedly really good for fixing scratched disks, but I can't remember what the fuck it was.
At school today, I, being the lucky chump that I am, stumbled across a copy of Call of Duty 4 for Xbox 360.
It's quite badly scratched and I'm taking it to blockbusters to get it fixed soon, but I just wanna give it a go myself first.
Thanks in advance.
Apply toothpaste on the CD. I heard it works.
Hmmm... I'm gonna google that...

^this lol
I fixed a Xbox 360 DVD with toothpaste once. Constantly got a read error at Gears of War 1. Applied toothpaste, carefully brushed it off, let it dry a bit, then popped it in, and it fucking worked for two weeks. Then again, read error.
Applied toothpaste again, and it worked once more. No problems so far.

As strange as this sounds, this is a viable method.
Also, try installing to hard drive after you apply the tooth paste/dry and put it in the xbox.
That's what I'm gonna do.
I don't have any plain white toothpaste, so I'm gonna try a banana...
Stumbled across that while googling the toothpaste method.
Rub your penis all over it, that usually does the trick for me.
Jizz might actually work...
It's not working guys, I think the disk is... is dead...
Thanks for your help.
Get some sun glass scratch repair liquid.
toothpaste has always fixed it for me
I think peanut butter works too, haven't tried though. I'd go with toothpaste.
Anyone else read it as ""Home remedy" for scratched dicks?" :q:
Smear icecream on it, then beat egg yolk in a bowl.
Spread the yolk over the icecream, then let it dry.
Put the disk in the microwave for about 30 seconds, then wash it off.
Now rub it with a pickle.
Stainless steel polish worked for me.
Rent game from blockbuster, switch disks, they are going out of business anyway.
Not sure if that is what you meant b=when you said taking it to blockbuster to get it fixed.
sandpaper

I had a seriously scratched disk once, so i actually washed it in luke-warm water with a soft, warm, wet cloth and washed it thoroughly with the cloth, as in went around in circles on it and went from the centre to the outside of the disk on each it.
Then i left it to dry by air, NO USING A CLOTH TO DRY IT. Just leave it out in a clean room to dry.
It should work now; I've done this for 2 disks and it worked.
Better than the toothpaste method:
Furniture polish. It actually fills in the scratches, making the disc readable (Toothpaste is an abrasive, so it grinds down the disc until it is level with the scratch). I was talking to my Software Design teacher about it today.
As for brands, Mr Sheen is best.
