I could see how that could be depressing, that's like working on a school project for days and days only to bring it to school with the upmost excitement to show others and then have some dickhead knock it into the mud. This new era of DDoS everything we don't like is getting pretty pathetic. It shouldn't have been that hard to get cloudfare though.

They were offered hosting by the humblebundle guys and apparently just completely ignored them and went on not selling their game because the website couldn't handle it. Not to mention the fact that he hasn't said a single word about the game since July

Oh and the official forums are closed and have been that way for months.
I think they just want to rake in as much cash as possible by using their own website to sell the game, which I can sympathize with.

Even if the humblebundle guys wanted some compensation, he probably still would have made more than he did. I'm sure there were tons of people that just stopped caring that the game was purchasable because they couldn't actually purchase it unless they got lucky and happened to go to the site when registration and/or shop was open.

yeah, every indie dev says that even though steam/w.e takes a percentage, they always get a sales boost that they get more money regardless.
It's been way too long. I'm not sure I'll be able to get back into it.
