Trailer and gameplay appear to be promising and pretty. Cant help but sigh at yet another "moba that will change everything"
I like the character design and art style, at least.
Meh
Said it in the last thread, I'll say it again. This isn't a moba. The devs don't call it a moba, and it doesn't play like one. All this misinformation is going to kill the game, which makes me think they're trying to by turning off the moba audience.

I spoke to the developer for 40 minutes and then published a 1,500 word article writing about it calling it one of the "most exciting and interesting" games of 2015. I'm clearly trying to kill the game. Also, in that 40 minute interview I talked to Phinney, the lead designer on Gigantic, about how the traditional moba audience are enjoying the game, where it diverges from the moba format, and how they hope to compete with LoL and Dota. It's a moba.
Calm your tits Benson. I'll tell you what things you said are irrelevant to BoxinShrimp's post: 1. The time you spent talking to your source 2. The amount of words you wrote 3. Your witty sarcasm 4. The audience that enjoyed the game (if FPS fans like a game of a completely different genre, does that make it a FPS?) 5. The fact that they're trying to compete with MOBAs Not even the devs call it a MOBA. I watched the PAX footage, and the most they've said regarding that is that it's "influenced by MOBAs". Acoording to them it's not a MOBA, it's a "team action game". So shut up.

That post really hurts both your journalistic integrity as well as PCGamesN whom you represent.

Comparisons have been drawn between Gigantic and MOBA games like Dota 2 and LoL, and while Gigantic certainly does take inspiration from those games, I wouldn't call it a MOBA: there are no towers, lanes, minions, items, barracks or jungle. Indeed, Gigantic is pretty difficult to pin under any one genre, as it takes the best elements from various different genres and puts them into one game. MOBAS, third person shooters, MMOs... all of these genres have inspired Gigantic in one way or another.[/quote] I think there's some clashing information going on here.
