I got my new iPod for Christmas, along with my brother and sister, and we need a way to distinguish them from one another. And somehow my screen gets scratched just from putting it down on the table. I never really used a case and was wondering which one to get, along with a screen protector.
are you positive the screen gets scratched? because it's a tough screen, and the back is of softer material (humorous, i know).
I haven't used a screen protector on mine for the last 3 months, haven't had any problems. I have had a rubber slip on case, however, which does keep the screen lifted from the surface when I set it flat, pretty much all rubber cases do that. Mine, I would not recommend, however, because it comes off rather easily, it's snug but not strong enough to stay on and keep the dust out. Instead, just pulling it out of my pocket or holding it a certain way might ease the case off, and whatever dust gets in between the iPod and the case sort of buffs a tiny little scrape into the chromed backing.
The back scratches like a bitch I left mine sitting on the front cover of a book and it got scratches like I ran it across a bed of nails
I totally agree with M_B
I own several iDevices including the ipod touches and iphones and the screens got a pretty reliable glass. As long as you take good care of the the device you're more prone to back damage than the screen.
