I tried turning on my laptop when I just came home after a month-long trip to see my girlfriend, and now it won't do anything. I turned it on and the screen is black. All the startup noises are there, but there is no visuals at all. It might even be running normally, except I never hear the vista noise. I have a 32-bit vista asus laptop, with 2 hardrives, 2 gigs of ram, a dual core 2.2ghz processor and an ati radeon 3600 (or 6300? don't know off top of my head) HD card. I've tried a lot of things including putting in a recovery disk and hitting any combination of keys on startup but nothing happens.

Oh, and I tried an external monitor. Still nothing.
Sounds like your GPU got fried or something, but doesn't your BIOS beep up a code? Nothing at all? Just the normal one-beep boot up sound?
Nothing, just the starting sound from the logo of the manufacturer (again, Asus). It might be the GPU, but I can't really find anything out because I can't see anything.
Its not a GPU problem. Could be a Processor overheat, Corupted ram.....anything with laptops....Could be a fu%#ed screen 2.
Fffffffffffff its a virus throw it out

Get out sir.
Have you tried booting without the battery? Try removing the hard drives too.
