• £600 Build

Currently trying to piece together a build for a friend and I've been given a max spend of £600. It'll be used for gaming (most modern games, he hasn't really specified any). It's from scratch so nothing can be reused from an old build and I don't require and monitors or other peripherals. Here's what I've got so far, seems pretty hard to keep to the budget. You're from the UK and using OverclockersUK? You do know they have a forum and most of them that post have pretty good technical knowledge. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18490289 Found a £600 budget build just posted today, so it would take advantage of OCUK's daily/weekly deals if possible. So that I guess? You can browse around OCUK's forums, they're a pretty good retailer/community so you shouldn't have a problem. It's missing a case in the list but you can add one in, as long as it can fit all the components it should be fine. If you do intend to buy your components from them, you can post for help on their forums if need arises, I can vouch for them.
Go intel.
Yeah, go Intel. The build I linked to you from OCUK's forums is a good combo, the first post by stulid I mean. You can add a better processor at a later time if you want, as he says. All that's needed to be added is a good case for the components and that should be that. The build you linked is not that great use of the money compared honestly, in the future you can always just ask the OCUK forums for assistance. You can do it right now actually, Pyro. If you wanted you could ask them what's a good budget case for those components if you don't know. Then again you could always just look for a good well-known case at the £20-£30 price range so it mostly meets the £600 budget depending on what price.
Yeah I got a good build together now, cheers Rathlin. I went for the Corsair 200R, dropped the HDD and went for Samsung Green RAM instead.
