What do you know about electric cars? What do you think of when you hear "electric cars"? Let's argue about electric cars. Let me throw something at you. It costs less to maintain electric cars.
Electric cars are less efficient when it's cold. Electric cars look pretty cool. It's easy to get run over by electric cars, because electric cars make so little noise and many pedestrians navigate mainly by sound in traffic.
They run on the electricity, and they go zip zop zoobity bop.
Very nice. How about how electric car i structured, and its maintenance costs? Let me throw something again. Less moving parts - fewer things to break - fewer things to replace or have to maintain -- for example regenerative braking. Brake pads will wear out less - less noise and vibration - eventually simpler car. Let me go wild here. I have owned an electric 1/5th scale rc car and 1/5th scale gas (not nitro) rc car. Both are great fun, but with gasoline car I had to take care of exhaust, carburetor, engine itself, starter, air intake, hell i even had to replace spark plug during 2 years period. Electric car on other hand is battery, electronic speed controller, motor, and of course radio. I don't wanna be seen like a tesla model s fan boy, but it's just a great example of how an electric car can be efficient, environmental friendly and still be more fun than gas car. If you noticed, I didn't mention price because after all it is a luxury sedan. But what if electric cars went into mass production. More people would spend money on researching about more compact and efficient batteries. Eventually more companies will join the battery production world. And we all know about market prices. If there are too many products, prices go down.
What do you know about electric cars?
Quite a bit. Enough to build one if I had the materials and parts.
What do you think of when you hear "electric cars"?
Yuppietastic pipe dream sold to idiots who don't know a damn thing. Battery tech just isn't where it needs to be for these things to be practical, and the battery packs make these things absolutely terrible on the environment.

Batteries just aren't efficient enough for me to justify their use. That and I love the engine note of a BMW straight six, so the chances of me switching to electric ever are about nil.
hybrids like the Prius are nice since you get the best of both worlds. It's a rather anemic car though and one of few hybrids.

As far as I know electric cars have lithium ion battery packs. They can be dangerous, but how are they terrible on environment? Also allow me show a different side of "idiots". What if we need "idiots" to buy electric cars for next two years until more people pay attention to electric cars, and until more research put into batteries to make them lighter, higher capacity, and more efficient. Not sure if it is a good analogy, and I haven't lived during the years when first cars were made. I imagine they were expensive and engines were very inefficient. As years went on, more time was put into research of combustion engine as well as mass production started. So in short, we need "idiots" so they can get electric cars started with mass production and future research to make them better.

The stonecutters holds back the electric car
When I hear Electric car I think this: Mitsubishi i-MiEV's are fucking everywhere.
Until batteries have the same energy density as petrol they won't cut it. Also, using an RC car as an example of the difficulties with engines is retarded
