I have an iphone 4, but do not want to risk breaking it when i go bmx'ing or snowboarding etc. What is a cheap phone that has all these features qwerty keyboard basic internet browser (For facebook etc) Not very laggy that will make calls good under 70$ preferably, but will go as high as 100$ Don't lecture me on how i can still bring my iphone with me blahblahblah. i will preferably be using ebay but will use a place that accepts paypal Obviously using at&t
Are you looking for a phone on a contract or one you can add to your current plan?
Something Nokia
http://www.otterbox.com/iphone-cases/iphone-4-cases/iphone-4-defender-series-case/ Just buy that for your iPhone, you won't break it in a case like that.
Phone off contract and unlocked. And thanks but i do want a seperate phone even if i do have a big case.
Damn, off a contract? I was gonna say, you could buy an old Blackberry pearl or curve online.. You could get a Boost Blackberry Curve, but that is probably too expensive.. you could find a used one around 150 I think.
i was looking and the blackberrys are cheap on ebay. Im looking at the sidekick too as it looks to have everything i want. i was looking at a sidekick lll and they're like 70 bucks [editline]10:47PM[/editline] and i already have an iphone 4 on contract
I would do a Blackberry, just because it'll be easy to find a nice ottercase at the store. You'll want one even for your backup, since it sounds like your phone will be tested rigorously. And you have the whole "crackberry" community, so you can do a lot of cool things with it.
Yeah i'm kinda tied between them both. I like the keys more on the sidekick though, and it doesnt really matter how big this thing is
True, you can't really go wrong with either. Personally, I would still go for the Blackberry. I'm not you though.
My dad has a blackberry. They're cool but the keyboard is really tiny, but goddamn it they are really durable. Well ill decide tonight. hows the webbrowser on the blackberry

LG Cookie. Its durable, touch screen and has all those features. except internet is a bit hard to use.
this doesn't look to bad http://cgi.ebay.com/sharp-sidekick-2008-no-reserve-/200503874495?pt=Cell_Phones i think this is what im getting

I have a question. I have the dataplus/pro plan on at&t, will i need to pay-per-mb if i use a non-iphone
just pick up one of those $15 prepaid phones, it's not like you'll be checking facebook while going 30 mph down a hill
I have a question. I have the dataplus/pro plan on at&t, will i need to pay-per-mb if i use a non-iphone
Nope, it's a data plan so it can't differentiate between phone to phone (well, it can, but it's 'system stupid'.)

BlackBerry is fine for those purposes, though the browser isn't wonderful and there isn't many decent free applications. Keyboards are generally well done though I'm not sure how great the trackball is going to be in those conditions, from general pocket lint I find that mine can get gummed up after a few weeks (Turning the phone trackball first on a piece of paper and quickly moving the phone back and forth on the affected axis usually fixes it).

The web browser does suck, but depending on how big you are on apps, the free ones aren't too terrible.
