• Now that Garry is a father, can we have a parenting sub-forum?

It would be awesome if there were a parenting sub-forum on facepunch. A place to give and receive advice without humiliating yourself to other parents you know in real life(they can be pretty judgmental.) I think that time has moved forward enough for some of facepunch's user base to have had children, myself included. I am a father to a single 2 year old healthy baby boy. Are there any other parents on facepunch to even warrant a sub-forum, and even if there is, is it a good idea? I think it could be really helpful for young parents to have a source of information in a media they are used to. I would love to share my parenting experiences with other parents in my age group. leave a reply if you are a parent or support a parenting sub-forum.
not enough people are parents on facepunch to warrant a sub forum
not enough people are parents on facepunch to warrant a sub forum
And not enough of us ever will be
And not enough of us ever will be
Stop commenting, son !
it wouldn't warrant a whole subforum but maybe a parenting megathread
I want to be a father
I hate kids. I'm never going to get kids. They are all bad.
I hate kids. I'm never going to get kids. They are all bad.
Says the guy who watches a show for kids
what, is garry a father now? holy shit, made me smile when I visited his blog and saw the posts
I hate kids. I'm never going to get kids. They are all bad.
this is a good thing tbh i mean imagine having a brony as your dad must be awful
this is a good thing tbh i mean imagine having a brony as your dad must be awful
I'm not a brony but yes I could see how that must be a traumatizing experience for a kid.
that would be a good idea, but sadly I don't think there are enough parents on this forum
I'm not a brony but yes I could see how that must be a traumatizing experience for a kid.
LMAO
That's like saying anyone with a Star Trek avatar is a trekkie
That's like saying anyone with a Star Trek avatar is a trekkie
Yeah, but someone who isn't a trekkie usually don't go joining 3 star trek clubs
Bronies are disliked on Facepunch nearly as much as anyone who is male on tumblr
Isn't there already a parenting megathread?
Bronies are disliked on Facepunch nearly as much as anyone who is male on tumblr
Its different. A male can be accepted on Tumblr and still be a male if they completely throw away all of their masculinity If you like ponies on FP you can't be redeemed.
Its different. [editline]lmfao[/editline] because if it is then it's the funniest thing I've heard all week!
I think parenting could require at least a megathread, although there's already a thread for it in GD. Try posting there and see how things turn out. However, I don't remember there being very many parents when I gave it a glance.
I'm not a brony but yes I could see how that must be a traumatizing experience for a kid.
What arbitrary definition constitutes a "brony" to you? Especially since you already fit the description like a glove.
I don't think I would be a good parent...
What arbitrary definition constitutes a "brony" to you? Especially since you already fit the description like a glove.
Nothing because I don't use that term and don't feel the need to adapt to a label just by watching a show.
Nothing because I don't use that term and don't feel the need to adapt to a label just by watching a show.
Well according to most people "in the know" and myself, you are one, so you're definitely going to have to deal with that at least. You have an avatar of the show and you belong to several groups pertaining to the show. Whether that has anything to do with your identity is up to you. It may not be such a big deal to yourself. Perhaps you think of yourself with other characteristics. but there is no denying that you are what many would consider to be a "brony". Anyways, whether you consider yourself one or not is an unnecessary point because I could easily replace this quote here
this is a good thing tbh i mean imagine having a brony as your dad must be awful
with
this is a good thing tbh i mean imagine having someone who is a fan of MLP and belongs to groups involving the show as your dad must be awful
and most people would feel Qubik had made the same point, even though he would've been very verbose about it.
Why don't we just have a parenting megathread?
I hate kids. I'm never going to get kids. They are all bad.
are you the kind to throw your baby in a dumpster or something
How many FPers are actually parents? I only know of 3.
My black son is so needy
No. It'd be a troll breeding ground.
are you the kind to throw your baby in a dumpster or something
What do you mean? I've never had kids so no, I have never thrown my kid in a dumpster (?)
