I find it funny how WoW can lose as much subscribers as some games have total and keep on trucking. Also John Walker from RPS is in that article, heh.
[release]Blizzard's boss, Mike Morhaime, said the biggest decline in player numbers was seen in the Asia Pacific region, with significant falls in China.[/release] A coincidence, but wasn't China pretty resistant to the pandaren stuff a few years ago?
The game can't go on forever anyway, they're going to need a serious overhaul to attract new players.

Except they went in the opposite direction and split the existing community with kung fu pandas.
Eh, who cares. From what I've seen, the Chinese version is censored and altered so much it's not even worth the effort anyway.
So begins the fall.
Experts put the decline down to competition from new titles
lol they still wont admit the game is just awful

Despite having quit for good (probably) about a year ago, I'd still be pretty sad to see WoW die.
Just let it go already, it's dying. Start with a new & fresh game instead of rehashing a game that's waaaay over it's prime.
I quit because Blizzard are selling fucking mounts for real money And their making a new expansion. Who the hell wants to buy 4 fucking expansions to have 100% access to items/races/territories. Also, World of Warcraft turns this Into This
Revert to Vanilla. Regain playerbase. [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] "lol how about pandas instead"
They are getting increasingly lazy for full priced expansions. Cata added an astonishing 5 levels of content and the new cap will raise to 90.
Just let it go already, it's dying. Start with a new & fresh game instead of rehashing a game that's waaaay over it's prime.
If you would let a game go that has 10 million people paying $15 a month you are dumb.
Played WoW for some time and switched to Lord of the Rings online, and fuck LotR online is great fun with friends.
I think WoW will lose even more players once Guild Wars 2 hits. A brand new MMO with no subscription fee and a fuck ton of new features that makes the gameplay more dynamic and fun.
If you would let a game go that has 10 million people paying $15 a month you are dumb.
Not if they introduve a better game to replace it. But instead, USELESS EXPANSIONS, USELESS EXPANSIONS, USELESS EXPANSIONS and USELESS EXPANSIONS.
Not if they introduve a better game to replace it. Jee, I wonder why. Oh that must be because all the expansions did so far is push the level cap further and add more reasons to do PVP. And don't think I never played WoW, I have a level 80, level 49 and some other character, stopped playing after WotLK because......IT'S FUCKING BORING NOW. Playing this game was more of a chore than anything else. And the fact that I paid time, like 15$ for a month, added more to the "goddamn, I don't want to play that anymore" because in the end, I would play a week in that month, wasting most of that money because I got bored of the game in the time I played. It became a grind fest for PVP, something I don't like in most mmos, mainly because most of the time, it's so higly unbalanced. Hell, do you know who wins all the PVP arena matches? Last time I heard, if you had at least a Warlock and Priest, you win. Maybe it changed, i don't know. Maybe if they focused on making the game more fun instead of adding more of the same..... In the mean time, I will keep trying more F2P mmos.
Protip, in between each expansion there is always a player slump, this isn't exactly new or forebode the death of WoW. I also blame games like League of Legends, TF2, etc for it's downfall. Sure they're not mmorpg's, but you only have so much time.
I don't think we'll ever play WoW again, as in our group of friends. We've seen it from vanilla WoW all the way to Cataclysm. Was fun I guess, but now it's over.
I also blame games like League of Legends, TF2, etc for it's downfall. Sure they're not mmorpg's, but you only have so much time.
This, several of my friends who were heavily into WoW have moved on to League of Legends.
Maybe Blizzard should focus on a new MMORPG.
Oh wow. We could be fucking Tuskars or something, but noooooooo. I think they should've just covered up their accident with Cataclysm by saying something like "Oh, that was just the fire stage of Cataclysm. The ice is next." And then take us back to Northrend.
WoW really is like a cigarette addiction. Every story i've ever heard from someone 'quitting' WoW, is comparable in it's own right to quitting smoking. I find this fact humorous.
WoW really is like a cigarette addiction. Every story i've ever heard from someone 'quitting' WoW, is comparable in it's own right to quitting smoking. I find this fact humorous.
I quit cold turkey
its always quaint when people play WoW it's because theyre addicted and not because they actually enjoy it not that half the retards on this forum can talk with their 4000+ hours on TF2
