This is the card I'm looking at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131140
And my case is
H: 16"
L: 18"
W: 7.5"
Or do I need a new case?
It should.
4870 is big, not not BIG.
My friend got one, and he needed a new case.
I don't know though about yours.
According to this (http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=260&threadid=97872), a standard 4870 is (L)220mm x (H)100mm x (W)33mm.

Length = 22 Cm Hight = 10 Cm Width = 3.3 cm? WHAT?
It's the exact same length as a standard ATX mobo.

The heatsink must go up 3.3 cm.
I have a 9800gt now, so will it fit? My case is a larger microatx.

It's a beast of a card considering it's only got a single GPU.

I measured my 9800gt and the only difference is the height. It should fit I THINK.
