• Need a new PSU

The shitty PSU that my PC had (thanks, prebuilts) has finally given up the ghost and I need a replacement Living in UK so the inevitable Newegg links are useless to me, specific site doesn't really matter because I'll be checking them all for the cheapest anyway and prices are mostly the same Not really looking to spend more than £55-ish, lower as much as possible because I'm not exactly rolling in it already narrowed down three possible choices: 400W Corsair £40 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-017-CS 450W Corsair £55 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-006-CS 500W OCZ £55 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC System specs: Q6600 8800GT 1 HDD/2 fans MoBo only has one PCI-E slot so I'm not going to be using more than one card this thread is mostly assure me whether or not I'll need more than the 400W, if I was going for either of the £55 options I'd probably go for the ModXStream for modular and the second PCI-E but more options are better. Mostly thinking about possible future upgrades, if the 400W seems enough to cover anything reasonable then I'll go for that because I need this ASAP and before boredom causes me to wither and die
get the 400 corsair
I know my 8800 will run, hell it's managed to run on a shitty 400W for all this time so on a corsair is as close to guaranteed as you'll get I'm mostly thinking of upgrades, I love my 8800gt but I know it won't be much longer before it starts to fall behind and I don't want to find my almost-new PSU needs a swap as well bah, if it were my helping anyone else I'd feel sure but as soon as I need to help myself I start doubting

400W is enough for a 5870 if that helps.
400W is enough for a 5870 if that helps.
good enough for me, was thinking of moving somewhere in the direction of a 5850 anyway thanks guys, hearts for everyone because you're all awesome
Well the one I linked costs the same as the VX 450 and only £10 more than the CX 400, so..
