• Unable to join any servers in all Sources games.

I can start the game up and make my own servers or play singleplayer but I cannot join other servers. "Diconnected after 4 retries." The servers show to be fine in Steam but ingame, they won't let me join. I have restarted both Steam and my computer multiple times. Only yesterday I was fine. Today it is screwing itself up. I can, however, play mods like Synergy fine.
Do the servers show the ping next to them?
How is the ping relevent to the problem? Yes, and I have the Latency filter on < 100
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
The ping ensures that you actually made a connection to the server. Try deleting the files that end with ".blob" in the steam directory, whilst steam is not running. Then start steam, it'll redownload some files, which will hopefully fix your problem
I tried the following: Verified = Failed. Connection Problem = Not the problem, steam shows the servers. Delete .BLOB file = Failed. Reinstalling... = N/A Deleting everything except Steam.exe and steamapps... = Failed. Team Fortress 2 won't uninstall. I removed the files in Steamapps and tried removing the .gcf manually but apparently there's a program using them. (I did this after closing steam so wtf is using them?)
