What would be good settings for a 9800 GX2 in BC2 to get around a constant 40-60 FPS? (My resolution is 1280x1024)
SPECS:
Core 2 Duo E6750 OCed at 3.53GHz
P5N-E SLi MoBo
2GB DDR2 800 Gskill
zalman 9700
9800 GX2

I have tried that but I will only get maybe any were between 27-57 FPS, most of the time mid 30's
then try all high maybe two options
that's pretty playable, anyway.

No one here will know for sure. In the time it took you to make this thread and reply to these posts you could be adjusting settings and trying it yourself. Just fiddle around with the settings until you hit ~60 fps.

I have but from what other websites have been telling me is that I must have a problem because my specs are more than enough to get 60 FPS

Well your card is enough to get 60 FPS but the question is at what settings will it get 60 fps at? Just fiddle around, trial and error, and you'll achieve the right balance.
....
-Download Fraps
-Put all settings on low/medium
-Increase your settings until you your FPS lowers to 60.
-DO NOT TURN ON V,SYNC.
-If you make a thread like this you should post your full system specs btw.
Turn down the AA?
