You know... my dad actually received a briefing from his company a few years back regarding background checks (he works as a civilian contractor for a local USAF base)
He told me that the government is capable of monitoring whatever they'd like, and he mentioned this to me after watching Eagle Eye, after noting that the government was capable of doing some of the things portrayed in the film (such as jacking the cellphone camera to get a live feed for example) and he told me to be careful as to what I posted online because hosting sites/providers/etc will always save and share information according to him. I naturally scoffed and laughed it off and dismissed it as nonsense and there would be clearly no way that some IT nutjobs would be inside my phone because it'd be illegal, not to mention I figured my dad wanted me to not showcase my private shit over the web and I took him to perceive me as an idiot
Guess I was wrong :tinfoil:

He probably won't stay safe. Look what happened to Aaron.
I hope that we get dozens upon dozens more whistle blowers in the coming months. So many that the government will be powerless to do anything about it.
I like the idea suggested that people should band together to stop paying taxes in the US, that could give people a lot of power.
