The World is Not Enough: An Evil Mastermind Roleplay
With the Cold War stubbornly refusing to warm up and the world tentatively treading over things so as to avoid potential nuclear Armageddon, times are getting very interesting indeed. Amidst the chaos, as the world's authorities sharpen their knives and polish their pistols while giving meaningful looks to their enemies, opportunities have arisen - opportunities to turn the whole world upside down. The criminal underground is abuzz with the ambitions of a handful of its most towering, but twisted, intellects, and insatiable egos - ambitions to take over the world!
Hi everyone! This is my second forum game after the critically acclaimed The Realm in Darkness; inspired by my internet connection being shredded and my subsequent binge watching of all the James Bond films (with a decent helping of Evil Genius), this game will put you in the evil headquarters of your chosen diabolical dictator - whether you want to reshape the world in your image or set fire to whatever's left of it - it's good to be bad.

Signing up
All players will start off as an unknown member of the criminal underworld, armed only with a handful of devoted followers and a few stacks of pilfered gold bullion. If you're interested in signing up, shoot me a PM with the following info:
Name: The name of your character.Age: Self-explanatory.
Biography: A background of your character.
Secret Base: A description of your secret base, where it is located and what it is like.
Game mechanics
This game will rely on four main statistics which players have to think about. They are:
Infamy: Fame, but for evil types. This stat shows how well-known and highly (or indeed lowly) regarded you are within the criminal world. Infamy will make your evil empire more attractive to new henchmen and minions - but it will also make you more interesting to the world's authorities, who may be inclined to turn away from their global activities to quash your evil endeavors.
Cash: Pretty self-explanatory; these are your ill-gotten gains, displayed in the form of gold bullion. You can also acquire specific items - high art paintings, technological innovations, historical and cultural artefacts, and even buildings if you're clever enough - to decorate your Evil Lair with, to impress your peers and stick two fingers up to the forces of justice.
Minions: Your worker-ants, the base upon which you will build your evil empire. Each player will start with 150 loyal minions ready to go into the world and do your bidding and defend your base - but beware, they may be expendable but they're not idiots: if you lose their trust or they find better work elsewhere, they'll defect and abandon you!
Henchmen: Your more specialised servants - each player starts with one (use the same template as your player character) and as their notoriety and infamy increases, more may offer you their services. These powerful figures are more loyal and less expendable than your work-a-day minions - but not invincible.
Events
At any stage of the game, an Event may occur to any player. Events are created by me and can give the player a chance to earn more infamy and cash, or potentially lose both of the aforementioned, and much more! Each event shall explain what it requires/expects the player to do, if they are desirous of completing it.
Orders
Players get two (2) sets of orders that they can send, covering anything they can think of. The orders can’t be longer than three (3) lines long. Players also have the ability to send in one (1) plot order per turn, with victory occurring if they roll a 6/6. It costs $25m to create and maintain a plot.
If the player has to fight, or plans to, they can send in a single (1) military order. This can range from a full-scale military invasion to mugging a banker on his way home.
Laws are made to be broken, including the laws of science, reality, and whatever else comes to the players' mind. As such nonsensical inventions/plans are fully acceptable. After all, you are playing a genius. I won't be enforcing the Laws of Reality too harshly.
World Information
The nations of the world might be busy plotting against each other, but they have some pretty heavy firepower behind them.
Green: C.R.O.W.N. Representing the Old World in the forces of justice, their intelligence networks and diplomatic connections are second to none.
Blue: G.U.N.M.A.N. An American-led coalition that covers North America and the Pacific, it is well-known for its heavy-handed use of force when necessary.
Orange: S.A.N.D. The African and Middle-Eastern agency dedicated to protecting the assets of those regions, S.A.N.D. is renowned for its ability to extract information from even the most unwilling prisoner.
Yellow: A.M.A.Z.O.N. South America's justice agency, it fields deadly guerilla warriors that can cause mass confusion and slip away unnoticed.
Red: S.I.C.K.L.E. The Soviet Union's defence against criminal threats - although it has been known to work with them from time to time.
Gold: V.A.S.E. The Chinese government's pan-Asian justice force, its ability to sniff out criminal elements is uncanny.
Beware - while the majority of the forces sent to find you might seem insignificant, each agency has an ace up its sleeve...

If you absolutely must. As long as it isn't godmodding, you can pretty well have whatever you like.
