God damn, who the hell cares, just make a new game instead of clinging to an old newgrounds flash game that was funny for about twelve seconds.
If it's a remake of a game that even according to the developers it sucks, why should one bother with it?

Even though the kickstarter was pretty successful for its time ($26k back in 2012(?)) they still had budget problems and development was a bit rushed. Since then they've become pretty big and they were probably able to create the game they've always wanted to. Fundamentally the concept is pretty solid, so who fucking cares if it was originally a flash game, McMillen does the same.
Oh so it's "we had a cool concept but shit execution here's the same concept executed better"?

sure. It's now impossible to even purchase the original game on steam, and everyone who bought it gets the remastered version for free so it's not like they're dicking everyone over. The reason they're releasing it on steam is because they released it for the xBox One and figured they could just port it over without a problem.
