This has been a common problem with my Actiontec GT701D (A) DSL modem and NETGEAR N600 (B) router.
The problem is if i turn on the NAT on A, it causes B to be unable to connect. To see if A can connect to the internet, I pinged YouTube and it did not lost and packets, meaning the connection was good, however B cannot work and I cannot ping because it doesn't have a ping tool, but a computer not able to connect is close enough to see if the connection was good.
So my problem is that I cannot have NAT on A, however B only can have it on or off.
Bump
Disable the NAT (And anything else that isn't related to just being a Modem such as the firewall) on "A" and enable it on "B"? You only want one NAT anyway.
It's because your "Modem" is actually also a router (Just with one port, A switch would work in in place of the N600 in this case), Disabling the NAT on your "Modem" essentially disables its routing capabilities and then the NAT on your N600 will take over, which is what you want.
Option 2 Involves leaving the NAT enabled on your Modem/Router (A) and disabling DHCP and NAT on the N600 (B) and connecting A to B's LAN ports (Not WAN!), essentially using the N600 as a switch with wireless capabilities.
