Hi,
I am having a problem with EP2. Everytime I try to start it it crashes at the loading screen and I can't close it down and have to restart my PC.
I've tried re-installing, defraging and verfying the files. I'm still having the same problem. All the other games start fine, this is just happening with EP2. There are no error messages.
My system details are:
AMD Athlon x64 Daul Core 2.20Ghz
2Gb RAM
250Gb HD Space(80Gb C:/, 120Gb D:/ and 150Gb L:/) D:/ is the primary drive where HL is installed.
Windows XP Home(yes I know, I dont like Vista)
Any ideas?
You didn't post your graphics card, updating its drivers might help
Oh yeah. nVidia 6800 GS 512Mb. I'll try updating the drivers.

Updated drivers, still no luck.
Don't you just hate computers sometimes!
Did you install it from the dvd (if you have it) or download it from steam? If you installed it from dvd, try deleting it and then fully redownload it from steam.

I installed it from DVD. That's going to be a monster download! Oh well. I'll give it a go.

It won't necessarily fix the problem, but it's definitely worth a try. Unless you have a very slow internet connection or bandwidth caps, that would suck.
I think I will re-install Windows. My PC could do with it anyway. Lol, the things you'll do to play HL.
Just thought I'de let you all know I have re-solved this problem. Had to re-install Windows and ALL the HL series.
An admin or mod may close this topic if necessary.
