It "sounds" amazing just like EVE does, it plays like absolute balls

Hell, I might be able to train something a bit more destructive, considering how much time I have until release.
This game is really, really, really bad.
It plays like shit and there's nothing really special about it, plus the controls are complete ass. I had thought the CoD control scheme had become standard for FPS games anymore, but the designer for the controls in this must have been on acid or something.
Good concept but I could hardly stand playing more than a round or two.

Most people who keep saying that eve isn't fun are also the ones who literally play it wrong. I had a fucking blast with it. But then again I rolled with GoonWaffe, but seriously, join a proper corporation and you will have the most fun you can have possible in an mmo. There is no other experience quite like it knowing that you can actually have a genuine impact on the game and that isn't just advertising. I personally took part in large battles over territory that mattered.
Me and my best friend (who loves playing Eve) played this at eurogamer, and loved the crap oudda it. I loved it, too.

I do play eve. I have a my characters probably amount to nearly 100m sp in total.
But the actual game itself are rather limited, I mean you can tell the core of the game was made 10 years ago.
But what makes it interesting is the meta-game built on top of it.

If you genuinely think EVE is boring you're either a moron, or someone who went into expecting the game to tell you where to go to have fun, and when it didn't, mined for 14 days and quit.
If you take note of the tutorials and do what you want to do, you'll end up shooting other players or at least doing something you enjoy (which, in my case was flying around aimlessly for about 6 months).
The stories that everyone hears aren't made up by the marketing department, they were made to happen by player who had the initiative to go and do stuff. If it was boring, then it wouldn't be the only consistently growing MMO on the market, and it wouldn't have been doing so since it's release in 2003.

Victoria II and Europa Universalis: Rome may or may not be something that appeal to me, but to say that they are boring or ugly or other opinion is how a game [I]is[/I]. Is the problem.
You realize when someone says a game is boring they obviously mean they think it's boring but say it is because it's easier right.

There's a distinct difference between saying "Skyrim is a boring game" and saying "I think Skyrim is boring".
One of those implies that it's your opinion, the other doesn't.
Want to like this but it is one terrible game in its current state. Glad they're keeping it beta for longer because the frame rate is terrible, controls terrible and plays terrible right now.
Hope something can come out of it because it almost isn't playable IMO.
What is really nice is that they allow players to hook up a keyboard and mouse for gameplay, but it's still pretty horrible since the mouse acceleration is unbelievably bad. I really hope they fix that, and it may become a playable game.
