There [i]were[/i] ports of MGS1 and 2, albeit the second one was pretty crappy compared to the first. But I suppose wanting an up-to-date, PC version of the HD Collection would be understandable (so long as it's handled better than how Konami's been handling them).

Surprisingly, even though this game went through a very tough development going between multiple devs and stuff, it ended up becoming a really really good game. Best hack and slash I've seen.

I'd love to see the legacy collection ported to PC. Bet that would make alot of people happy. Its not like people couldn't run MGS4. It would just probably take up a massive amount of hard drive space.

I would get it on PC just to play MGS4 at a decent framerate. It had some godawful performance issues on the PS3, especially during cutscenes. Goddamn cutscenes like always ran at like 20 or so FPS and I would KILL to see it in 60.

That's not actually true, the games size is around 26GB.

That's because of the uncompressed audio and a shitton of data redundancy for faster disc-based loading.

It'd be badass as hell doing the final boss battle and having all those cutscenes in ludicrously high resolution.

that's because in japan most of the japanese games on the pc are either visual novels, rpg maker games, or ecchi stuff.

someone once told me there was a social stigma when it came to pc gamers because of the fact that as beardyduck mentioned, most of the games for pc are visual novels and h games and the like. the market over there is much more volatile since japanese gamers are shifting more towards handheld gaming while japanese developers are trying to chase western gamers and in some cases end up failing because of the hd generation raising development costs and its getting harder for developers to recoup the costs because the games end up failing.

To be fair, pretty much all of the metal gear games can be beaten in around 4 hours or less if you take the cutscenes away.
I Have this on PS3 but have yet to play it any reason to Re - Buy it for PC
