i dont understand it personally. i get if you want to send it to someone via mail, thats all good. but when you buying someone a gift for a simple holiday (ex a birthday) i personally dont see why you need a card, when the gift is expressing the gratitude (or whatever you call it)
Sometimes you just want them to know who gave it to them.
You could gift something expensive as fuck and they mistakingly think that they got it from that douchebag you hate a lot.
