That's quite the goal he has there. He'll have to give the game as much replayability, variety, and addictive gameplay as some of the most popular MMO's have in order to achieve such a thing.
Never Stop Playing? good luck on doing that, I'll die in 72 hours if I actually did that, no sleep, no food, no water, no breaks, not even a bio break.
Isn't that the motto for the entire series?
cos when you stop playing one, another one's come out?

Play on a toilet and have 70 or so years of food and water with you
Did anyone read the article? It sounds like they're talking about being able to play during cutscenes, and basically never taking the control away from the player, not a game that never ends.
That's good, because one of XIII's biggest faults were those damn cutscenes
They were just too long

I don't want a repeat of Final Linearity 13, if they actually put some effort into making the game play abit more engaging instead of auto attacking then changing roles when you need to heal it would revive the series in my eyes.
As long as the cutscenes aren't written and directed by Bold and the Beautiful interns this time. Goddamn FFXIII was awful.
I gave up on Final Fantasy.
