Looks like it's progressing nicely.
While not as "impressive" as Skywind is from a graphical update standpoint, I still appreciate this massive effort simply because it means we'll get to play Oblivion in a better engine. It's even coming to the Special Edition, so that's nice. I really can't wait for either of these projects
forgive me because I haven't been following these projects much but what is stopping bethesda from sending a C&D once they are near completion?

For all its faults, allowing modding is the one thing Bethesda has been good about.
It feels like these have been in development forever. I'm not blaming the devs or anything like that, I'm just saying all these teasers are starting to drive me mad. When will we get to play this finally?
forgive me because I haven't been following these projects much but what is stopping bethesda from sending a C&D once they are near completion?
They aren't doing anything Bethesda haven't encouraged before, of which there are plenty, like Skywind as an example, Also, this isn't like Skywind, where they are literally recreating every single asset from the ground up, in fact you have to own Oblivion to play Skyblivion because just like Tale of Two Wastelands, it utilizes assets from said game but ports them over. Without the assets, you can't play Skyblivion, so you have to own Oblivion.

If it's ported straight from Oblivion, that might get them a C&D, as what originally happened with Morroblivion (porting Morrowind assets straight to Oblivion). Bethesda has been a lot more open since the Morroblivion incident though, so this may not apply anymore.

While I appreciate the effort these modern are putting in, I think if one is really interested in experiencing oblivion, they should just buy it and go do it. It's not a terribly dated game anyway

There's a 5 hour stream yesterday on Twitch showing off locations, NPCs, and quests. https://www.twitch.tv/kylerebelzize/v/106548936 [editline]11th December 2016[/editline] It's a lot more complete than the trailer lets on but its not releasing anytime soon.
