Friend put this together for me and I thought it looked nice, but seeing as how I'm not completely computer-hardware literate, I'd like some input on this build. It will mostly be used for gaming and image processing. Edit: Also need a network card
That is not a 1.5k build
1.5k is my budget. [editline]02:18AM[/editline] I never said this particular build was $1500

Been so for a while.. Putting a computer together isn't hard. If it doesn't fit there it doesn't go there. -Special delivery. Edit: The powersupply is in the case already ok?
<3 [editline]02:40PM[/editline] Does it matter which slots i put the RAM in? Because I'm going to have 2 sticks and not 4
i think your meant to pput it in the same colours, so both in blue Mine are both in red. Or its just dont put them next to eachother
<3 [editline]02:40PM[/editline] Does it matter which slots i put the RAM in? Because I'm going to have 2 sticks and not 4
I would think not. Best to put them beside each other to be safe I suppose though.
Finally got that website to shut up with popups. Seems like it will be very helpful [editline]03:04PM[/editline] Shiiiit the 5870 comes w/ an analog port as well as DVI right? I don't want to have to buy a DVI converter for my monitor
Shiiiit the 5870 comes w/ an analog port as well as DVI right? I don't want to have to buy a DVI converter for my monitor
Your monitor doesn't have DVI support? Reference 5870s have 2 DVI ports a HDMI and a Displayport. It should come with a DVI to VGA converter
Your monitor doesn't have DVI support? Reference 5870s have 2 DVI ports a HDMI and a Displayport. You don't need a DVI cable.
