I don't know why anyone is questioning this to begin with. No matter how you look at it, it's fucking Psychonauts 2. That shit is going to get funded.
going over budget is something he’s always willing to do if it results in a better game
Yeah, and look at how Broken Age and Spacebase turned out.
"funding campaign well over target" yeaaa I'm still pretty concerned about the claim from that one video that you're not legally allowed to take more than a million dollars from unaccredited investors. If that's true, their actual total could be only $2.9 million if all that investment listed on the site is from unaccredited investors. And that's without taking into account the obvious fact of online fundraisers, that a fair few of the donations will never go through due to various reasons. I'm pretty interested to know how much they actually raised. What a mess this all is though lol

Nonbinding pledges, remember. Either side can pull out whenever.
That no one said anything about it except for some dude on YT should tell you all you need to know about gaming journalism.
you just go to the site and hit a drop down menu to "Pledge X money" and it just shows up on the site
you just go to the site and hit a drop down menu to "Pledge X money" and it just shows up on the site
...I know that already? My point was that no gaming site wants to talk about it.
Sites are happy to shit on Star Citizen for continuing to fundraise and not pooping out a totally finished game in 3 years (and SC doesn't spend any backer money on advertising on gaming press sites), but nobody finds anything worth publishing about the fact that Fig is shadier than a deep pit dug into the back of the dark side of the moon. Nah, nothing suspicious here.
...I know that already? My point was that no gaming site wants to talk about it.
Mr Shaefer is in their cliche. They don't wanna criticize him. Only alternative games media is being critical about this.
