• Is video of gameplay copyrighted?

I uploaded some gay gameplay clip of Call of Duty 4 a long time ago, but apparently it's become popular enough that Youtube has offered to pay me for every hit each of my "approved" video get in some partnership program. The only problem is I don't know if gameplay of Half-Life 2 (Smod/Smod Tactical), COD4, ArmA 2 etc. is copyrighted. I created the original video from my own actions, but aren't the graphics/sounds in the game copyrighted by the studio or something?
Nope. Don't worry, just look at all the other videos, e.g. Machinima.

Well if I submit it and it's approved I get money, but if it's declined for any reason they delete it permanently.
It's a scetchy area, if you record it and sell it, it IS a breach of copyright(unless you have explict permision from the publisher/developer, e.g: rooster teeth) but if you put if for non-comercial purposes, it's legal, the only
I always remember reading on the back of a video game case it said "FOR HOME USE ONLY". Meaning public performance of said game is prohibited.

I got a revenue sharing offer on an episode of Red Dwarf I uploaded.
4PP was told by Take Two to stop making videos of GTA4 because they got too many views.
Go for it, you'll make money, if they tell you to stop, you just stop and remove the videos, the money you gained won't go away you know =)

Put at the end that the video was made thanks to "game name" made by "studio that made the game" and you should be good.
