Windows randomly started taking 5x longer to boot to desktop than usual

For the past 2 weeks or so, the loading screen for Windows Vista takes about 1 minute before it shows the Windows logo with the audio clip (right before getting to desktop). Previously it took roughly 15-20 seconds or so and all of a sudden it takes ages.
What could be some of the possible problems? I've defragged my hard drive, cleaned and defragged the registry and I've scanned my computer with NOD32 but nothing improved with my boot. I don't want to end up having to reinstall Windows again.
Thanks
run msconfig and remove shit you don't need from the startup tab

I don't have anything on my startup. It's the loading with the green bar before it gets to desktop that takes forever.
